Mother - infant free play interaction

A West Cameroonian farming mother from the ethnic tribe of the Nso is sitting on her compound playing with her three months old baby. Her older children are around; kin and neighbours can be heard in the background. Although it is aa hot day, the baby is well wrapped into clothes, since survival and health are primary concerns among the rural Nso. Body contact, body stimulation and rhythmic talking/vocalizing are important means of communication.
